Last year, my hubby and I not to buy each other Christmas gifts. Instead, we agree on a dollar amount, and we get to buy ourselves anything we want, within that price limit. The only trick is that it has to be something that we WANT and not NEED. Last year, I bought myself 2 pieces of art. This year, I think I will do the same.

Great idea! My husband and I often don't exchange presents on birthday's or Christmas probably because they all fall in December along with our son's birthday. We often have no money left! This year we have already treated ourselves to both birthday and Christmas presents - we're going on a ski trip in January!
My husband and I often don't buy birthday or Christmas prsents for each other maybe because they all happen in December along with our son's birthday. This year we made sure that didn't happen and booked a ski trip just for the two of us for January 2012! Can't wait!
